Welcome to RoadRunner X, an electronic bulletin board system dedicated to the oldschool BBS community, computer history, video games, amateur radio, and anything else that us technocrats would find interesting. We're live from Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta, Canada.

RoadRunner X can be reached via 33.6kbps dialup at (780) 473-RRX0, or 1200bps AFSK packet radio as amateur radio station VA6RRX on a frequency of 145.030mhz. Since we're located on the northern end of Edmonton, your results may vary. For more information about VA6RRX (or VA6WY,) please click here.

If you wish to connect to the BBS over the Internet, all that is required is a BBS/ANSI-friendly telnet client. We recommend SyncTerm as an excellent client to connect to the BBS. We also offer access to the BBS via SSH on port 2222.

[10/21/08]: IRC Services for the Synchronet IRC Network and BBSnet have been moved to RRX as of today. Because of this, all previously-registered nicknames and channels will need to be re-registered on IRC. The good news is that nicks and channels are now set to never expire.
